The Favor of God

“Let The Favor Of The Lord Our God Be Upon Us; And Confirm For Us The Work Of Our Hands; Yes, Confirm The Work Of Our Hands”
(Psalm 90:17 NASB).

All throughout the Bible we read about men and women receiving favor from God and man. Esther found favor with the King. Joseph found favor with the highest officials in Egypt. Daniel received favor with Nebuchadnezzar. Acts 2:47 tells us that the early church had, “favor with all the people, and the Lord was adding to their number day by day.”

Stewarding God’s favor brings increase. The most amazing thing is that the Bible tells us that even Jesus Himself grew in favor with both God and man. What does this mean? It means being in the center of God’s perfect will; faithfully doing what pleases Him.

“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace”
(Numbers 6:24-26 NIV).

Favor is God’s extension of grace, blessing delight, pleasantness, beauty, kindness, sweetness, and brightness. We can’t conjure it up on our own, it is God’s divine work causing you to thrive in your assignment.

Favor is something we can grow in supernaturally and it’s an incredibly important aspect of God’s kingdom. When the world promotes people through appearance, money, and status, God promotes his children through favor.

Favor is something that God grants to us by grace through faith because we are created for His pleasure and for His good works (which God prepared beforehand). Favor is God’s kiss on our lives.

We can grow in favor as we begin to grasp the vastness of what the favor of God actually is. Many people live below their level of blessing and favor simply because they believe lies about who they truly are.

What we need to believe and be proactive about is that each one of us was created with a purpose, gifted with favor, and destined to impact people in our respective spheres of influence.

Favor is what will open the door of the hearts of those who don’t know Jesus to hear what we have to say. It’s also the grace God gives us to walk in the confidence that He truly loves us.

God wants you to walk in the divine favor of Heaven. If Jesus needed to grow in favor with God and man, so do we.

Pray without ceasing. Study and meditate on the Word of God daily, so that may learn how to position yourself to receive the favor of Heaven and bring lasting impact to the area of influence you are called to.

Bottom Line versus Human Capital

It doesn’t matter how strong a company’s balance sheet is. If the company is weak on human capital (has terrible relations with its work force), that company has a toxic culture and will always experience high turnover, which in turn affects its bottom line. You can’t sustain your bottom line at the expense of human capital.

Don’t allow your bottom line to become more important than the people that sustain it! – LG

The Father’s Mandate

Be diligent to accomplish all that I have set before you. Procrastination is your enemy and will drag you down to a place where it will be difficult to move at all. Your willingness to do all that I have set before you in a timely fashion will reap great rewards.

Proverbs 13:4

The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.

God’s Wisdom About Money

The Book of Proverbs gives us practical instruction on the use of money, though most of the time we simply gloss over the most valuable teaching, instruction, advice, admonishment available anywhere—and it’s free or cost—though there are requirements for attaining/obtaining it’s precious wisdom.

It’s more comfortable to continue use money our way (or the worlds way) than to learn how to use it more wisely. That’s not God’s design and is the opposite of Biblical instruction.

The Bible teaches about money more than any other subject. Why is that? Because God foreknew we’d need His help to learn how to manage it wisely.

The following are seven imperatives from Proverbs that God requires in order for us to be successful stewards of the resources he gives us.

1). Be generous in giving (11:24-25; 22:9

2). Place people’s needs ahead of profit (Proverbs 11:26)

3). Be cautious of countersigning for another (Proverbs 17:18; 22:26-27).

4). Don’t accept bribes (17:23)

5). Help the poor (19:17; 21:13)

6). Store up for the future (21:20)

7). Be careful about borrowing (22:7)

Use God’s money God’s way and you’ll always get God’s return.

How God Views Unbelievers by Charles Stanley

December 16, 2021

God is loving and merciful, but it is a harsh truth that the spiritually dead will experience His wrath.

God’s Word is always true, but sometimes it comes across as confrontational when it exposes our erroneous thinking. One truth that’s often considered challenging is the way God describes the desperate state of those who are without Christ. They are …

Dead in their offenses and sins. Spiritual death came to all people as a result of Adam’s sin, leaving the human race under God’s condemnation (Eph. 2:1).

Unable to grasp spiritual things (1 Cor. 2:14). Their minds are darkened, and they cannot understand the things of God.

Outside of God’s family. Spiritually, there are only two families in the world: the family of God and the family of Satan (John 8:44).

Under God’s wrath. Unbelievers, even the ones who are kind and loving, are under judgment because of their unforgiven sins (Eph. 2:3).

Those without Christ are in grave danger and don’t realize it. they’re going to hellThey need to hear the bad news– before they can see their need for a Savior and recibe His Good News. So find a way to carefully give them these hard truths, and explain how they can be rescued: Through faith in the saving work of Jesus Christ on their behalf, they can escape God’s wrath and condemnation.

How Much Is Enough? The Only Safe Rule For Giving by Kent Woodyard – SermonCentral.com

Working in business development for a church giving platform, I am asked often if there is a Biblical precedent for churches using digital technology to accept tithes and offerings.

Any scriptural evidence that text-2-give is acceptable to the Lord?

I’ll save you a concordance search: there isn’t.
